Terrell's July 4th Celebration

Here it is!! This is a video of Terrell's Annual July 4th Celebration at Ben Gill Park! I had so much fun catching up with people from around the community, including Brant Davis, the Technical Director for THS's Performing Arts Center, Dana Skelton, the Fine Arts Director for the school district, as well as the member of the Chamber of Commerce who put the event together.
Hats off to you for your hard work, creating a wonderful event to celebrate our nation's Independence Day. I'm already excited for next year's July 4th.

Unexpected turn of events

So I (our organization's social network coordinator) have been in the Central Texas Medical Center located in San Marcos (30 minutes south of Austin) since yesterday afternoon. A friend and I came down from Terrell for a small trip to visit friends. The day we were planned to come home, my friend (a Terrell local organic farmer) wakes up sick. VIOLENT abdominal pains. The doctors performed an exploratory surgery, and proceeded to remove his appendix. The incision runs over a foot long down his abdominal area. Hospital say for 5 more days after tonight. No labor work for at least a month to avoid possible abdominal hernia. Hospitably, I've had permission granted for me to stay here in the hospital room with him.
We are over 4 hours away from home, but we stay in contact with our loved ones and continue to pray for a speedy recovery. We are so blessed to have gotten my friend medical attention just in time.. Had more time passed, his condition would have developed into a fatal infection. But we've had the grace of our Creator to help guide us through these frustrating times, keeping our faith strong, with wonderful supporters around us.
Please pray for my friend, Cameron.
Respectable actions are being sorted. I have offered, to avoid over-exertion and further bodily complications, for him to help me catch up marketing and promoting around the DFW area, focusing in Kaufman county and Hunt-Rockwall county, from Dallas county to Van Zandt.
While I'm in the hospital with him, I'll organize an efficient schedule for distributing promotional material.
Keep Cameron in your thoughts. We're keeping our heads up high.

Terrell Outdoors

A council of men, members of First Baptist Church, are getting the ball rolling for their annual Terrell Outdoors Expo and Banquet. We're all excited about the activities lining up for this year.
Last year's enthusiasts took part in seminars from dog training and field game preperation to archary, elk calling, and gun cleaning.
Our dinner speaker for this year's event on September 11th is Phil Robertson from Duck Commander. He developed and patented the Duck Commander call. He revolutionized duck hunting with his "duck call for duck killers", and stands as the leading authority in the industry. We're all very excited to have him join us this year, along with some supporters like Cabela and Academy Sports.

July 4th at Ben Gill

It was such a great night. Having grown up in Terrell, I must say that last night was a nice reunion with the school district staff (including my influential senoir sponsor, Brant Davis) as well as organizations from local churches.

The children's parade demonstrated a variety of creative ability, in forms of a space-rocket to a futuristic icecream truck.

Grasping the attention of the Pavilion audience, the North East Texas Symphony struck a silence among listeners that could have heard a pin drop. Amazing captivity.

The firework show had barely begun yet there were still many "Oohs" and "Awes". The park was spaciously plotted with blankets and chairs with kids running together. The family-communtiy of Terrell was beautifully displayed last night, in addition to the colorful sparkling of the fireworks.

The start of a brilliant idea

Hello everyone!
I have to start out by telling all of you how excited I am to have the oppertunity to be a part of this project.
At Oldfield CPA, everyone is egar to inspire a sense of motivation.
Between all of the organizations Oldfield CPA already has a hand in, it's become my pleasure to expand the involvement and magnitude of these community- and ministry- oriented projects.

So far, we have..
*Terrell Outdoorsman Expo and Banquet (coming up September 11th)
*KAN (Kaufman Action Network informs the community on local governing)
*Terrell Organic Demonstartion (bringing local gardeners and farmers together, sharing tips and ideas)
*FBC's Leadership Breakfast (takes place during the school year)

Coming up soon in just TWO days is the Annual July 4th Fireworks Display at Ben Gill Park.
Youngsters of all ages will be participating in a Tricycle/Bicycle Decorating Contest and Parade from 5-9 PM.
The North East Texas Symphony will pay a patriotic musical tribute with the Independence Day Concert at 8 PM.
Last but definately not least, one of the largest firework displays in East Texas will commence at approximately 9:15 PM.

So grab a picnic and the family to make plans for Terrell's all-American celebration at Ben Gill Park.

Videos and photos will be posted around our online networks.
